Established in the late 90’s to meet the administrative and managerial demands of ‘Darsena dell’Orologio’ of Caorle, to which the company Vis Inc., creator of the program, is connected, Navis constitutes an innovative software solution designed to provide support operators in the management of complex and multiform situations such as that of a modern marina.

Navis currently operates in over 70 facilities from the nautical sector – including Varazze Marina, the Marina of Rimini, the port of Rome, the Marina of Pescara, the Marina of Imperia with capacity of 100 to 1200 berths, and it presents itself in Italy as the first dedicated vertical software in reason of the number of companies that use it. We are proud to highlight the passion and commitment demonstrated to manufacture and market a successful application package in a niche market such as Pleasure craft Marina and boatyards.

The experience gained over time in such a high number of companies, then transferred into the software, constitutes a source of pride of Vis, not found among our competitors.

# FACILITY MANAGEMENT – berths, parking places, commercial units … #

Topics covered by Navis are: management of facilities provided by the Marina (berths, yards for storage, parking places, housing units, commercial units and ‘cave bateaux’) to aspects related to the “Marina condo”, the boatyard organization and the workmanship on vessels to warehouse management and inventories. The software covers all contractual and accounting aspects of the following activities: mooring contracts, management delegation, transfer (sale), subrogation, quotes and petty cash book management – invoicing, for both receivable and payable cycles, cash-basis and bank current accounts. Such features are systematically summarized in a useful agenda able to group all the events and consequent accounting transaction regularly allocated by the operator. The software is also able to produce a high number of customizable statistics and reports for accurate management control.

From the quote defining to the interventions planning and the release of the relating invoice, attaching a detailed economic report of the costs incurred (materials and labor) and of the profitability of the various workings.

# AUTOMATION #

The software is perfectly integrated with the control systems present in the Marina and Boatyard company and is capable of offering solutions concerning the monitoring of the accesses on sea (vessels) and on land (auto vehicles), integration with consumption record systems (columns), Wi-Fi management, recording through hand-held, integration with general accounting software, communication with the company website, offering a high level automation.

# AFTER SELL SERVICE #

Point of excellence of Vis Inc., the assistance related to both software and application is supplied with constancy and competence by our technicians, using the newest technologies in remote desktop, respecting the privacy of data. Vis organizes once a year within its head office training sessions for the Navis operators. The trainings gather from 4 to 8 port or boatyard companies, thus giving a way to those who participate to discuss the management methods of similar situations.
